Remote desktop
Windows desktops beside your terminals.
Save an RDP host like any other server and open it in a tab or a split. The desktop sits next to your SSH sessions, and nothing extra has to run on your machine.

One tab strip for shells and desktops
Local shells, SSH sessions and saved RDP and VNC hosts share one tab strip and can be nested in splits however you like. Save a mixed layout as a workspace and open it again from the connection panel. When you do, the sessions start fresh.
“The Windows server and the Linux box behind it, in the same window.”

What a session can do
The desktop adapts to its pane: scale it to fit, or let the remote side change its resolution as you resize the pane.
- Scaling and remote resize
- Clipboard exchange with the remote desktop
- View-only mode for when you just want to watch
- Ctrl+Alt+Delete from the pane
- Printer redirection, with every job saved as a PDF
- Windows domain and a fixed resolution per host, or follow the pane
- Credentials from the encrypted vault
03
No gateway, no helper process
Ravelon uses the IronRDP client for the protocol, TLS and Network Level Authentication. Each session runs through a single-use loopback connection inside the app itself, so there's no gateway to install and no extra service to keep patched.
“The session runs inside Ravelon, not through a separate program left listening.”
04
Print from the remote desktop
Turn on Redirect printer in the host settings and Windows prints to a printer named Ravelon. Every job arrives as a PDF in Downloads/Ravelon, and you open it right from the remote desktop pane to print it locally. The server uses the built-in Microsoft Print to PDF driver, and administrators can control the redirection by policy.
“Print on the server, pick up the PDF on your machine.”
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which RDP implementation does Ravelon use?
IronRDP, an RDP client written in Rust. It handles the protocol, TLS and Network Level Authentication (NLA) inside the Ravelon process.
Can I print from an RDP session?
Yes. Turn on Redirect printer for the host, and every print job arrives as a PDF in Downloads/Ravelon, ready to open and print locally. The clipboard is shared too.
Can I put an RDP session next to an SSH terminal?
Yes. RDP hosts open in the same tabs and splits as SSH sessions and local shells, and you can save a mixed layout as a workspace.
