iPhone & iPad
Your hosts, in your pocket.
Ravelon for iOS is a real native app, built with SwiftUI, Apple's swift-nio-ssh and SwiftTerm, and it is coming to the App Store. Your hosts, snippets and credentials travel with you, end-to-end encrypted from your desktop vault.

A terminal with the keys a phone lacks
Save hosts with groups, tags, start commands and favourites, and connect with a tap. Several sessions can run at once, and a key bar gives you esc, tab, Ctrl combinations and arrow keys without opening the keyboard. On iPad, your hosts sit on the left and the open session on the right.
Switch to another app and a running command keeps going for as long as iOS lets it. Meanwhile the Dynamic Island shows the server's icon and how many connections are open.
- Search across names, addresses, users and tags
- Several sessions with a switcher
- Snippets with variables in two taps; risky commands ask first
- Host icons from the same catalogue as the desktop
- Generate Ed25519 keys on the device, or import passphrase-protected keys
02
Files and local tunnels
Browse remote folders with permissions, sizes and timestamps, view and edit text files, rename, delete and create folders. Files move to and from the Files app. Local (-L) forwards are saved as rules and start with a tap, so a remote port shows up on localhost.
“Start a local tunnel, then open localhost in Safari.”
03
The same security model
Host keys are pinned by their SHA-256 fingerprint, and a changed key gets a clearly different dialog. With ProxyJump, every hop logs in separately and is checked against its own pin. The vault is a single file encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and sync with Ravelon Pro encrypts each record on the device before it leaves.
- SHA-256 host key pinning
- ProxyJump with a pinned key per hop
- Sync records sealed with Argon2id and AES-256-GCM
- Telemetry off by default, and always off on MDM-managed devices

Synced with your desktop
Sign in with your Ravelon account and your personal vault arrives on iPhone and iPad, end-to-end encrypted. Changes travel both ways, and hosts you only use on the desktop stay safely in the vault. Starting out on the phone? Paste your ~/.ssh/config and pick the hosts from a preview.
- Sync through Ravelon Cloud or your own Ravelon Sync server
- Import by pasting ~/.ssh/config, with a preview
- German and English, following your system language
- iPad split layout and Dynamic Type
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
When will the iOS app be available?
It's coming to the App Store. Subscribe to the newsletter and you'll hear about the release first.
Does the iOS app support tunnels?
Yes. Local (-L) forwards are saved as rules and start with a tap, so a remote port shows up on localhost, for example in Safari.
Which keys can I use on iPhone?
Ed25519 and ECDSA (P-256, P-384 and P-521). Generate an Ed25519 key right on the device, or import a passphrase-protected key.
Does it sync with the desktop app?
Yes, through Ravelon Cloud with Ravelon Pro, or for free through your own Ravelon Sync server. Your personal vault is end-to-end encrypted on the way.
Get started
Try it in your own workspace.
On one device the desktop app is free, with nothing held back: the encrypted vault, terminal, SFTP and the assistant are all included.
What else Ravelon can do
SSH terminal
SSH with your passwords and keys kept in an encrypted vault.
SFTP file transfer
Move files over the same connection your terminal already uses.
Tunnels & port forwarding
Local, reverse and SOCKS5 forwards, saved with the host they belong to.
Vault & sync
Encrypted on your device before it syncs, and every new device needs your OK.
